- May 16, 2010 7:30PM-10:00PM at O'Shaughnessy Center, Whitefish
The Chamber Singers will transform the O'Shaughnessy Center's stage into Cole Porter's New York City penthouse in the spring of 1939. Assuming personas of people of that era, the singers are the invited guests at the Porters' most glittering party of the year. Amid the festivities of the evening, they will perform songs by such famous composers as Jerome Kern, Rodgers and Hart, Sigmund Romberg, George Gershwin, and Cole Porter himself. The evening will sparkle with song and dance, witty dialogue, and unexpected surprises. The audience is encouraged to come in vintage '30s attire to celebrate the music of those times. Some of the songs to be performed are: My Funny Valentine, Without a Song, It's a Grand Night for Singing, Bewitched, Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better, and Anything Goes.
